PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

Volunteering:

  • 8 hours per archery season minimum.

Safety:

  • Hunter Safety Line (or similar) system must be installed on all Ladder and Climbing Stick Stands
  • Hunters must uses Decent Safety System once connected to Safety Line
  • Hunters must never leave the ground without being connected to safety system.

Dispatch Requirements:

  • 2 Doe Minimum Per Archer (minimum)
  • If Buck is dispatch first, Archer must dispatch 2 Doe to qualify to hunt next season
  • Donate 1 deer to food bank per location

Tree Stands:

  • Must be securely attached
  • No pegs or screw-in steps
  • Must be labeled with EQID (prefered) or CID
  • May be installed 45 days prior to beginning of season
  • Must be removed no later than 30 days after close of season

Identification:

  • Vehicle ID must be displayed on windshield while hunting
  • Archers must have WCGM ID card and/or Heritage-WCGM permission slip


Note about Safety

Hunter safety is priority one and Tree Stand Decent Safety systems are required at all times. If a archer is found out not to be using this device they will suspended from hunting the rest of the season and put on a waiting list to reenter the program.

Your Stewardship is critical to the success in conserving our resources. Participating in our program requires a volunteering a minimum of  hours annua
